secunet plans to bring ServiceNow to organisations with stricter security needs
A German-operated cloud could help sensitive organisations automate their work. The partners expect availability in 2027.
Government departments and other sensitive organisations want to automate everyday work, but they also need control over where their data is held and who can access it. A partnership announced by secunet and ServiceNow on 13 October aims to bring those needs together.
ServiceNow provides software for organising and automating workflows. Under the planned offering, secunet will operate its AI platform in German data centres, with controlled operating and access processes. The intended customers include public authorities, armed forces and businesses with demanding security requirements.
The service is also being developed to handle information classified as VS-NfD, a German restricted official-use category. That is a development goal, not an announcement that the service has already received every required approval. Availability is expected during 2027.
For secunet, this could broaden its role from protecting digital systems to operating more of the software its customers use. Because the offering is still being developed, the commercial question is how many organisations choose it once available. The announcement did not disclose customer orders or revenue.
